Trainings

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Staff Development Center in order to provide more trainings to more regions of the state!

We have also decided to offer trainings separately from Board meetings this year! Please submit the Training Request form (below) to cwfcboard@gmail.com and we will work with you to schedule a training in your area!

We currently have the following trainings available. If your county has a specific training need, please email us at cwfcboard@gmail.com

Fraud Red Flags: Using studies of actual cases, participants will learn to recognize common red flags for fraud. Topics to be addressed include: effective interviewing techniques, recognizing fraudulent documents, utilizing available resources and understanding fraudulent behavior.

Choose Your Own Investigation: In groups, participants will investigate a sample referral. This presentation will outline some of the resources available to investigators, how to evaluate evidence received and the potential outcomes of investigations.

(almost) Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hearings: From how to prepare for a hearing to how to increase your chances of prevailing, this training will give you a step by step guide to appeals, claims and IPV hearings!

Telephone Etiquette: Participants will learn techniques for increasing their effectiveness over the phone. Topics include customer service and dealing with difficult customers.

Documentation and Report Writing: Participants will learn how to accurately and effectively document their investigations and/or work activities.
